1 - SUDAN

The Sudanese army claimed that they successfully repelled a major assault by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the city of El Fasher. Eyewitnesses reported that the fighting started when the RSF infiltrated multiple areas and began attacking civilians.

The city was attacked from three directions, with the fighting continuing for six hours before the RSF was driven back. The army claimed that hundreds of RSF fighters were killed, and in retaliation, the RSF shelled the city, targeting hospitals and refugee camps.

2 - ISRAEL

IDF (Israel Defense Forces) troops continue to battle the terror group Hamas in Rafah, a city located on the border between Gaza and Egypt. They continue to identify and strike terrorists operating in the city there.

In the city of Khan Yunis, just north of Rafah, the IDF is redefining the protected Humanitarian Area, giving civilians an early warning to move out before IDF forces advance. This is due to Hamas firing rockets at Israel from within the Humanitarian Area.

3 - SOMALIA

Al-Shabaab, an African branch of terrorist organization al-Qaeda, carried out a deadly attack in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. 32 people were killed and 63 wounded when a man wearing an explosive vest detonated it in a beach motel. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
