During an IDF operation in the city of Rajah, in southern Gaza, Israeli forces recovered the bodies of six murdered hostages. The hostages were Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat, and Almog Sarusi. Originally kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th, 2023, they had been shot multiple times at close range, likely murdered by Hamas terrorists as Israeli forces closed in on the terrorists in the region.
In response, massive protests and labor strikes are happening across Israel with the aim of forcing the Israeli government to agree to a ceasefire and hostage release deal with terrorist group Hamas. Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, continues to pursue his strategy of total victory against terrorists group Hamas.
A ceasefire deal has been in the works for some time now, but negotiations recently stalled as Israel insists on retaining a strategic military presence in the Phiadelphi corridor (the border between Gaza and Egypt) to protect their country from further terrorist incursions like the one on October 7th.

Ukraine launched a drone attack against Russia on Saturday night, sending over 150 drones against at least 16 different regions, making it one of their largest ever drone strikes. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims to have intercepted 158 of the drones, most of them near the Ukrainian border, although several were reported near Moscow. The damage so far seems limited to several fires in energy infrastructure.
Russian missiles also struck three different areas in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, injuring at least 44 people. The targets that were hit included the Kharkiv Sports Palace, a shopping center, and a residential building. Ukrainian president Zelensky responded to the attack, calling for the use of "all the world's necessary forces" to end Russian terror.
