Ukraine crosses the border into Russia
Protesting in Kashmir
1- UKRAINE
Ukraine has allegedly penetrated the border into Russian territory with a raid into the Kursk Oblast region. Both sides are ordering evacuations around the area as conflict escalates.
In Russia, Vladamir Putin responded by calling a meeting of top officials to discuss the situation, which he says is a “large-scale provocation.”
There is currently no comment from Kyiv (Ukraine’s capital) on the situation.
“Russian offensive operations are approaching three months, so there will be some decline,” says Ukraine military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov.

2 - KASHMIR
5 years ago, the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir, north of India, lost its semi-autonomous status when the Indian government took full control of it, designating it a union territory.

Kashmir is currently claimed by both Pakistan and India, with each country controlling part of the territory.
On July 16, 4 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash with Kashmiri insurgent forces.
Kashmir is an ongoing point of conflict between Pakistan (largely Muslim) and India (largely Hindu.)
