The Rohingya crisis has led to overcrowded refugee camps in Bangladesh, with the ethnic group fleeing persecution by Myanmar's military and Buddhist nationalists.

Bangladesh's interim government, led by Muhammad Yunus, faces challenges after ousting Sheikh Hasina. Priorities include restoring peace, fighting corruption, and preparing for elections. The transition has been marked by unrest and public dissatisfaction with the previous regime.

Hasina, now in exile in India, faces legal charges including murder for suppressing protests. Her Awami League party is weakened, while the interim government struggles to maintain order and implement reforms.

In response to Sudanese Army airstrikes on various RSF positions, the RSF shelled a crowded market in the city of Sennar, killing 21 people and wounding at least 70.  The attack was followed the next day with additional shelling of the city, killing 70 more in civilian-heavy areas.  The RSF has been fighting for control of Sennar city since June, after gaining control of the capital of Sennar state, Singa.

The Sudanese Army also repelled a drone attack on the besieged city of El Fasher by the RSF.  Ground defenses shot down approximately 30 drones carrying 120mm and 80mm shells, as well as reconnaissance equipment.  Over 500,000 people have been displaced in the city, with leaders saying it has been subject to around 131 attacks so far.
